Your Data Privacy Rights

Town & Country Appliance & AC respects your privacy and your rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act (TDPSA), effective July 1, 2024. This page explains your rights and how to exercise them.

Your Rights

As a Texas resident, you have the right to:

• Right to Know: Confirm whether we are processing your personal data and access the categories and specific pieces of data we hold about you.
• Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal data we maintain about you.
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of personal data you have provided to us or that we have collected about you.
• Right to Portability: Obtain a copy of your personal data in a portable, readily usable format.
• Right to Opt Out: Opt out of the processing of your personal data for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Town & Country Appliance & AC does not sell your personal information. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for monetary consideration. We share data only with service providers who help us deliver our services (see our Privacy Policy for the full list).

Targeted Advertising

If we engage in targeted advertising in the future, we will provide a clear opt-out mechanism on this page. Currently, we use Google Analytics for website traffic analysis, which does not constitute targeted advertising under the TDPSA. If you wish to opt out of Google Analytics tracking, you may install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

How to Submit a Request

You can exercise any of the above rights by contacting us through one of the following methods:

Verification Process

To protect your privacy, we will verify your identity before processing any data rights request. We may ask you to confirm information we have on file (such as your name, email, phone number, or service address). We will not fulfill a request if we cannot verify your identity.

Response Timeline

We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 days of receiving a verified request. If we need additional time, we will notify you of the extension (up to an additional 45 days) and explain the reason for the delay.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. The agent must provide proof of authorization (such as a signed letter or power of attorney). We may also require you to verify your own identity directly.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. You will not receive different pricing, a different quality of service, or be denied service for submitting a data rights request.

Appeal Process

If we decline your data rights request, you have the right to appeal. To appeal, email us at info@tandcservice.com with the subject line "Data Privacy Appeal." We will respond to your appeal within 60 days. If your appeal is denied, you may contact the Texas Attorney General's office to submit a complaint.
